I saw the the Trekkers Outdoor Recreation Club laager 8 was planning to go there and I emailed the chairman, Dave Brown, and asked if we could come along as visitors and got a positive reply from him.
I arrived there on Friday at lunchtime and was the first there, so after setting the Skipper up had a good chance to look around and take a few photo's.
I was impressed by the campsite with nice level grassed site's in tiers with paved sections in a few of them. The ablutions were very impressive, spotlessly clean and modern with plenty of hooks and benches etc for one's clothes and towels. There was even handwash next to the washbasin. They were perhaps a bit small for the campsite if it was full but with only around 10 sites occupied this last weekend, they were fine.
There is a nice view of the Kuils River Golf Club and you are on the border of the Stellenbosch Wine route. Another really nice place to go to is the nearby Stellenbosch Slow Food Market on Saturday Mornings. http://slowmarket.co.za/ . Possibly the best Saturday market around.

I was accompanied by the campsite security guard. Lovely chap. |

Is this campspot pet friendly and price on stand per night for 2 peoplethankyou awaiting response. Gene blaine
ReplyDeleteWish it was small dog friendly. We have a yorkie and maltese that do all camps with us.
DeleteI do not think so as they have a very large and fierce watchdog that is basically their security guard that roams the campsite. It was quite long ago since I went there so cannot remember the price. I do not have their contact details as I went there with a group who organised the weekend. I am sure google can help you with this. I do not think it was expensive.
ReplyDeleteHi. Quick question. We don't have a tent yet. We do have a car. Can we sleep in the car? Must we have a tent. What are your rates? Please and Thank you
